Scuffles break out as four competing rallies converge on Melbourne
Anti -ritual rallies seemed greater than anti -government rallies in the Victoria Parliament. Police estimated that 2500 people attended both rallies.
Both protests were divided into smaller groups in the afternoon, pulled down the streets of Bourke and Little Bourke, and encountered a few changes on Swanston Street.
The police deployed a Capsicum spray several times, including a man who sprayed on his face at close range.

The anti -rally rallies organized by a group of coalitions were opened with unity messages from the speakers as thousands of gathered at the steps of the Flinders Street station. An organizer said, “We love everyone, we don’t have a department, we host everyone.”
The vast majority of protesters marching from Flinders Street to the edge of Spring Street shook peaceful, Aboriginal, Palestine and LGBTQ+ flags, and were the leading cheers such as “Nazi Scum from our streets” and “always there will always be the territory of Achorijin”.
Similarly, although there were agitators in both groups, the overwhelming majority of protesters other than parliament were peaceful.
Omar Ahsan, an activist and organizer, said that the anti-racist rally was coordinated in response to the “terrible” mobilization of the Neo-Nazis, which was shown on March 31 on August 31, and contained different groups to today’s anti-government rallies.
Ahsan was worried about the existence of the Great Police. “It is very shocking to stop people and to participate in a demonstration against the attack under the camp domination. [in support of] Pro -migration and anti -racism ..
“I have never seen this as an organizer and activist in my 20 years.”
Many protesters who led the anti -rival rallies, including a person holding a paper mache pig dressed in Victoria police uniform, despised the police. There were also accusations of civil servants who unjustly targeted the protesters.
Some officers wore protective equipment from the public order response and carried weapons firing rubber bullets. Previous rubber bullet victims suffered serious injuries, disability and death, and the so -called “less deadly” weapons have suffered severe criticism for years.

Apart from the Victoria Parliament, the protesters packed the intersection of Bourke and Spring Streets. Most of the Australian flags were poured into them or wore clothes and accessories carrying the Australian flag. Many described themselves as “white and proud ..
The landscapes of Fringe dominated the rallies outside the parliament. While a speaker claimed the fugitive and police killer DEZİ Freeman as a “good man ,, others adopted conspiracy theories about Covid-19 vaccines, World Health Organization, Governments and Media.
One of the leaders of the rally called the crowd to chant “F — Media, and asked journalists to be arrested and accused.
Former liberal top House deputy Bernie Finn told one of the anti -government rallies that he plans to run back to Parliament in the next state elections. Finn was a member of the Victoria Liberal Party, but was fired for saying that even for victims of rape in 2022, abortion should be banned. In 2023, Finn joined the Family First Party as a Senate candidate.
Melbourne Lord Mayor Nick Reece, participants in the city rallies hit the conflict seekers.
“I am sure that most people who have been in these protests are people with very good intentions, but there are also many rating bags, and the collective result of all these protests is that millions of Melburnance does not enjoy the cities of Melburnance,” he said.
