Summer McIntosh wants to equal Michael Phelps, but she’ll have to beat Katie Ledecky first
Now, in a new way in Paris, three individual gold medals has declared the ambition to get the title of five individual worlds this week.
Almost half, 200m butterfly, 800m free style and 400m individual confusion will still come.

Since the beginning of the world championships in 1973, only one swimmer – Phelps – has claimed five individual gold at a single meeting.
Katie Ledecky won four in Kazan in 2015, while Phelps’s individual gains in Melbourne 2007 were the beginning of eight Gold Masterclass on Beijing Olympics.
McIntosh’s most difficult task will be a 800 -meter free style against Ledecky, who is considered the largest female swimmer of all time on Saturday. The Canadian will be the only swimmer who beats Ledecky from a distance in 15 years and a duel that dilutes the mouth.
The challenge is not racing for swimmers at this level; Improvement.
On Sunday, McIntosh spent only 22 minutes between the 400 -meter free style final and the 200m IM semifinals. Warm, warming and media contract and fuel supply, as challenging as it seems.
McIntosh’s performance in Canada’s trials was electric. At the same meeting, he broke three world records and received Titan’s 400 meters free style sign and 200m and 400m individual medles.

Meanwhile, Alex Perkins from Australia came third in the 100 -meter butterfly of women.

Gretchen Walsh, the world -record owner, overcome the disease to win at 54.73 before Belgium’s Roos Vanotterdijk (55.84) and Perkins (56.33).
Im I couldn’t be happier, Per Perkins said. “I tried not to expect anything in this final.

Two days later, Australia leads two gold, one silver and bronze and a medal taxi. Kaylee McKkeown’s event won in the last two Olympics – they will try to expand this advantage on Tuesday for 100 meters back hitting.

McKEANNEN, although many times in the past has beat the American Regan Smith, keeps expectations under control. Smith described 0.23 seconds faster for the final, but both swimmer had something as a reserve.
“I’m just here for a good time, Mc said McKeown. “I don’t care if I come first or come to the last. I just want to find the love for sports again.
“Actually, I didn’t want to do 100. 200 and I wanted to relay.”
