Google on Tuesday announced a massive investment of US$15 billion over the next five years to set up a gigawatt-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the company’s largest AI center outside the United States. Speaking at the announcement event, Kurian emphasized Google’s deep roots in India. “This is the largest AI center we will invest in anywhere in the world outside the US.
