Kathy Griffin fell in love with 23-year-old man after her divorce

Kathy Griffin shares how she found love again after divorcing her husband.

The 65-year-old comedian talked about his love life in his article CutShe revealed that she tried dating apps for the first time after her friend Sia dared her to. She recalled going on three dates, noting that they were “very nice guys and even though I didn’t feel any of it, it was worth it.”

Finally, Griffin said he was thrown a ball backwards.

“I accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old boy,” she said. “Because of his age, he didn’t have the usual sexism, misogyny, and prejudices that guys my age have. He seemed to see me. I know that sounds really corny. Oh my god, it sounds so ridiculous. But I felt really comfortable around him and enjoyed hanging out.”

She knew from the beginning that their relationship wouldn’t last because of the age difference, but explained: “It was nice to know that even in my 60s my heart could still feel that way,” adding that she was “glad we were able to capture that for a while.”

Griffin was married to Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006. She later married marketing executive Randy Bick in 2020 and filed for divorce in December 2023.

“I knew he was too young when he told me that he never wanted to have children and that he could be with me forever,” she explained. “And I said: ‘You don’t know that. You’re 23 years old. You have no idea.’ I wouldn’t do that to him. So, when I was 23, I thought I knew a lot of things, but I didn’t. That’s why I had to release that pigeon.”

“Suddenly Susan” says the young man “touched my heart” and came into her life at a time when she thought “men were terrible” and wondered “Why do I choose the worst ones?” He added that he was wondering.

Things took a turn for the worse when she met this man, who she says made her “feel sexy, special, smart and funny.”

“It had a lot of elements of what I thought would be a real, lasting relationship,” Griffin said. “He wasn’t beaten that much. He’s so young that he didn’t have that baggage. And I knew my baggage was going to get in the way.”

Griffin went viral in November 2025 when she shared how much she spent on her third makeover. “Good guyspodcast says plastic surgeons charge $1 million per facelift.

But the facelift surgery was quite cheap, and she told her hosts: “I’m a very moneyed person. I can’t bring myself to do this.”

“My favorite part of my D-List life is that I went to Kris Jenner’s last man,” she said. “Not the million ponytails… where they lift up her entire face…. That’s what Kris has. But I went for her last man.”
