10 Things I Hate About You icon Andrew Keegan has spoken out about the highly unpredictable nature of outstanding checks.
The 47-year-old actor, known for his role as Joey Donner in the 1999 romantic teen comedy starring Heath Ledger, first gained fame as a child star in the 1994 movie Camp Nowhere.
He later appeared in the second season of the ABC comedy series Thunder Alley from 1994 to 1995, had a major role as Wilson West on 7th Heaven from 1997 to 2002, and Reed Isley on the Fox series Party of Five from 1997 to 1998.

‘I think it’s really funny because of course I’ll get different programs, but I’ll get one-cent checks and it’ll cost like 40 cents to send,’ he said.

We did our part to raise awareness, even if it meant being called funny names. But it’s also funny because I’ve never met anyone else accused or accused of being a cult leader, so I have a unique title in that sense!’ he laughed and added: ‘You can’t take life too seriously.’

He later claimed: ‘There is some pioneering in this because I can’t tell you how many times people have felt more comfortable in their spiritual endeavors or quests, if you will, by saying, ‘Okay, this is something I need to look into too.’
‘A lot of people came after reading the bullshit and discovering things, and they’re very grateful for that, and I will say that during that particular period when this is happening now, it’s actually provided a way to go to other places to do things like meditation and sound healing.
‘So since then the actual things we do within the scope of this “cult activity” have become more normalized.
‘That’s a good thing, you should meditate, you should take some time out and think about doing healthy things for yourself, not just working out and going to the pub. Do something other than that… social stuff.’
