Rangers: James Tavernier defiant but are players good enough to take team forward?

“It almost feels like a loss,” Tavernier admitted. “As a Rangers player you have to win every game. That’s what we have to do from now until the end of this competition.
“It’s definitely not over, but we have to move on from this.”
Djiga managed to slot the ball into the path of Martinez under no pressure to gift Braga a point, the defender appearing to lose the flight of the ball in the turning conditions.
With John Souttar and Derek Cornelius injured, Djigi was paired with Emmanuel Fernandez and the former ultimately cost Rangers a vital win.
“I have no complaints with Nasser, everyone makes mistakes, but ultimately we have to draw the game before that happens,” Tavernier added.
“We need to be more patient, maybe investigate the final third rather than trying to shoot when we’re not open. “I’ve spoken before about being clinical in both areas and we need to do that.
“If we keep a clean sheet, we will win. This is our goal as a team, to keep the matches without conceding a goal. We should have had this in our pocket with the 10 players we played against.”
