Coalition Govt Prioritising Poor, Asserts Minister Kollu

VIJAYAWADA: Expressing the complaints at the Machilipatnam TD office on Saturday, Mines, Geology and Consumption Minister Kollu Ravindra said that the Telugu Desam-led coalition government has given priority to the welfare of the poor. The minister assured the public that the government’s top priority will continue to support those in need and facing difficulties.
During the grievance redressal program, minister Ravindra distributed checks worth ₹ 15.62 lakh to 26 beneficiaries from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, taking the total assistance distributed to 455 people in the constituency to ₹ 5 crore so far. He highlighted the government’s financial support through the party’s welfare fund, including assistance to the families of three workers who died tragically in road accidents, who received ₹ 5 lakh each. He claimed that the gesture underlined the coalition’s determination to stand firmly on the side of the disadvantaged.
Emphasizing that election promises have been fulfilled, the minister reminded that the government has implemented the Super Six plan: free gas cylinders, free bus travel, Talliki Vandanam for mothers and Annadatha Sukhibhava for aid to farmers. He also reminded: “Monthly salaries are paid on time on the first day of every month and rations are delivered at the doorsteps of senior citizens. Financial assistance is also given for treatments outside the scope of the NTR Health Care scheme, demonstrating the government’s commitment to inclusive welfare and development.”
Highlighting the economic growth, Kollu Ravindra said that ₹15 million crore investment has flowed into the state, especially Visakhapatnam, with technology giants such as Google, Adani and Reliance launching data center projects. Addressing criticism of medical college projects, he vowed the coalition government would complete them under a public-private partnership model, promising no compromises on medical education and health services.
The minister also warned against destructive political shenanigans aimed at destabilizing the administration. The program featured prominent leaders like BJP in-charge Sodishetti Balaji; Fisheries Authority director Lanke Narayana Prasad; town party president Logishetti Swamy; and others who actively participate.
