Goods Train Derails Near Cuttack Station; No Casualties Reported

BHUBANESWAR: Three wagons of a goods that were removed from the rail near the Cuttack train station in Odisha, then the railway traffic was briefly broken on Monday morning. The incident occurred at 8.43.

According to the East Coast Railway (ECOR) sources, the rail output, the number 8 (loop line) in the Cuttack garden took place during a track change. Fortunately, injury or loss was not reported.

Despite the release of a rail close to the station, passenger train operations were not largely affected as they took place in the courtyard section. However, several trains on the Paradip side were temporarily stopped.

The restoration work started immediately, senior railway officials and technical teams ran to the site. Ecor confirmed that the efforts to clean and repair the affected slopes were prioritized.
