Kerala CM calls for ward-level vigilance committees to combat synthetic drug abuse

Kerala Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called for various voluntary organizations and inhabitants in Kerala to create their forums, ward level wakeful committees and intensified surveillance measures against synthetic drug addiction.

Later, Pa Mohammed Riyas, Minister of Public Works and Tourism, performed a ceremony against substance addiction at an offline event at Kozhikode Municipality Hall.

Panchayat officials, students, members of various volunteer organizations and local authorities, including two million people from different parts of the district participated in the oath sessions, he said.
