California High-Speed Rail Authority CEO arrested this month on suspicion of domestic battery

California High-Speed Rail Authority CEO Ian Choudri was arrested at his home in Folsom this month on suspicion of domestic battery, according to news reports.
The arrest was reported for the first time KCRAIt took place on Feb. 4, the day after Choudri attended a public event with Gov. Gavin Newsom. to celebrate Completion of rail line facility in Kern County.
Choudri, 57, was arrested just after midnight following a search of the home for a domestic disturbance. Sacramento BeeFolsom quotes police records. According to The Bee, police officers detained Choudri on suspicion of spousal battery; it was a misdemeanor.
The California High-Speed Rail Authority said Monday night that it was reviewing the matter and had no further comment.
Choudri’s attorney, Allen Sawyer, said the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office received an incident report from the Folsom Police Department and declined to file charges against Choudri.
Choudri’s fiancee was with him when he was arrested, Sawyer said.
