Woman charged with murder of 8mo baby at WA home

A woman has been charged with murdering a baby whose body was found at a home in suburban Western Australia.

Emergency services found the deceased eight-month-old baby at a home in Baldivis, about 46 kilometers south of Perth, at about 10.15am on Thursday.

“Detectives were dispatched to the scene and the circumstances surrounding the child’s death are being investigated,” the police statement said.

The baby’s death is being treated as suspicious because police spoke to a 28-year-old woman about the incident.

He has since been charged with one count of murder.

The woman will appear at Rockingham Court on Friday.
