Rob Reiner, ‘All in the Family’ star and Hollywood director, and wife, Michele, found dead

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner passed away. The Reiners were the two people found dead in a Brentwood, Calif., home on Sunday, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in part, “I am personally heartbroken by the tragic loss of Rob and his wife, Michele. I knew Rob and have great respect for him.”

A family spokesman said Diversity, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken at this sudden loss and ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”

Fox News Digital confirmed that Los Angeles Fire Department officials responded to a home in the 200 block of Chadbourne Ave. around 3:30 p.m., where two bodies were discovered.

Circumstances surrounding the deaths were not immediately available.

The bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were found in the home, LAFD said.

Officials

The department continued: “Robbery Homicide Squad (RHD) responded to the residence identified as the home of Rob Reiner. As this is an ongoing RHD investigation into an apparent homicide, no further details are available at this time.”

Actors Billy Crystal and Larry David arrived at the house separately on Sunday evening. ABC 7 reported.

The comedians allegedly stayed for a short time before leaving. A neighbor at the scene claimed Crystal “looked like she was about to cry.”
