Congress should dissolve Assembly if it can not resolve power tussles: Union minister Pralhad Joshi

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, in his speech in Hubballi on Sunday (November 30, 2025), said that if the Congress high command cannot immediately resolve the confusion among leaders in Karnataka, it should dissolve the Assembly and call for elections.

“Reading the news about the breakfast meeting held between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru, there seems to be no meaningful outcome. If the CM had said that he would complete his term and have to say that he would give up on DCM’s demands, he would have sent a message that everything was fine. But that did not happen. Did they have to hold a breakfast meeting to issue a joint statement that they would comply with the orders of the High Command?” he said. “I think instability in state politics continues. While there seems to be a truce between Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Shivakumar, infighting seems to have intensified,” he added.

“There is a clear attempt to buy off MLAs and the Congress top leadership is silent. We have great respect for AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, but he is helpless against the Gandhi-Nehru family, which is the real center of power,” he said. The state government did not give me details under the PM-KUSUM scheme. But I’m happy this is implemented properly.

He said that the Prime Minister raised many important issues such as beekeeping in Karnataka, Tagore Museum in Karwar, importance of Local Vocal campaign and various social and cultural issues. The minister also distributed subsidized farm inputs to SC\ST farmers under municipal grants.
