Dhurandar star Ranveer Singh receives threat

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh received threats from unidentified people via WhatsApp, police said on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Security around his house was increased after Singh received threats in a voice note and contacted the police, an official said.
The threat against the ‘Dhurandhar’ star comes days after a shooting incident took place outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s house in the city.
The official said that the police suspect that Lawrence Bishnoi gang members could be behind the extortion threat against Ranveer. The crime branch of Mumbai Police has launched an investigation, the official added.
Besides Mumbai Police personnel, special guards have also been deployed at the housing society in Central Mumbai where the actor lives.

The association’s management committee contacted the police on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and expressed concerns about the deployment of guards. “Since these armed guards frequently operate with weapons in common areas such as the lobby, gym, and children’s playground, the community management committee has expressed serious concern for the safety and comfort of other residents,” he said in a letter.

Recently, an unidentified assailant fired five shots at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s house in Juhu.
Shubham Lonkar, an escaped Lawrence Bishnoi gang member, allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting. 5 people were arrested regarding the incident.
