Senator Sanders says U.S. Health Secretary Kennedy must resign

Sanders, an independent senator gathered with the democrats from Vermont, wrote in the New York Times Guest article that Kennedy was “endangered the health of the American people now and the future.”
This week, Kennedy, Disease Control and Prevention Centers Director Susan Monarez deepened the turmoil in the country’s main public health agency in a period of less than a month. Monarez refused to adopt new restrictions by saying that they opposed scientific evidence about the existence of some vaccines called by Kennedy.
The four other senior CDC officials resigned from the protest by showing anti -vaccine policies and misinformation encouraged by Kennedy and his team; Hundreds of colleagues came out of the center of the CDC in Atlanta to support the led leaders.
The Senate Health Committee’s ranking member and Kennedy’s approval earlier this year, Sanders, wrote that Kennedy has overthrew Monarez because he refused to “act as a rubber stamp for dangerous policies”.
“Despite the overwhelming opposition of the medical community, the secretary Kennedy, the long -standing Crusader expedition against vaccines and continued to advocate the conspiracy theories that have been repeatedly rejected by scientific experts.” He said that vaccines of diseases such as children’s paralysis and Covid-19 have saved hundreds of millions of lives worldwide.
Kennedy spokesman did not respond to the request for comments.
A lawyer and leading anti -vaccine defender Kennedy carried out a unsuccessful campaign for the presidency last year. Republican President Donald Trump nominated Kennedy as a health secretary earlier this year and swore in February. Kennedy stressed that at a congress hearing in May, Americans did not think that he should receive medical advice from him.
