Six of Sarah Ferguson’s companies wound down after Epstein links revealed
Six companies linked to Sarah Ferguson are being shut down following the latest release of the Epstein files, Companies House documents show.
Ms Ferguson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-wife, was the sole director of all six companies, none of which had much of a public profile.
After new revelations about the former Duchess of York’s connection to pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein came to light with the release of millions of documents by US authorities, an application has been made to Companies House to dismiss each company.
Documents released last month show the former duchess telling Epstein: “I am at your service. Just marry me.”
In an email exchange dated September 21, 2011, he apparently wrote: “I don’t know if you are still on this bbm [phone number] But I heard from the Duke that you are having a baby boy.
“Even if you have never communicated, I am here with love, friendship and congratulations. [sic] on his son. “Sarah xx”
The email is followed by a message that reads: “You have disappeared.
“I didn’t even know you were having a baby. It was obvious that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeply.” [sic]. More than you know.”
Many of the interviews date from after Epstein was convicted of soliciting a child for prostitution in 2008.
Companies liquidated by the former duchess of York include: S Phoenix Events, Fergie’s Farm, La Luna Investments, Solamoon Ltd, Philantrapreneur Ltd and Planet Partners Productions Ltd, none of which appear to be very active.
According to the government’s website, applying to deregister a company is also known as “terminating” the company and is a way of shutting down a company that has not traded within three months.
Late last year, after she lost her royal divorce title, Ms. Ferguson made a formal change of name to all firms, from the Duchess of York to Sarah Margaret Ferguson.
Days after new details emerged about the former duchess’ friendship with Epstein, the charity she founded, Sarah’s Trust, also announced it would close for the “foreseeable future”.
A representative of the former duchess has been contacted for comment.
