Florida earthquake LIVE: Orlando, Miami, Tampa all hit by 6.1 quake off Cuba | World | News

An earthquake struck Orlando, Florida, and residents reported being shaken on Tuesday.

Miami-South Florida National Weather Service said: “We have received multiple new reports of shaking in Southwest Florida in the last 30 minutes. An earthquake occurred in the southern Gulf, just west of Cuba.”

“@USGS_Quakes has since reduced the magnitude to 6.1 at 10 km depth.”

NWS Jacksonville said there was no tsunami threat, but there were reports of tremors/tremors as far north as Jacksonville. Tampa was also reportedly hit.

It was seen that many buildings in Miami were evacuated due to shaking.
