The Gaza Government Media Office, run by Hamas, said on Sunday that more than 600 aid trucks have come since Israel alleviated restrictions in late July. However, witnesses and Hamas sources said that most of these trucks were looted.
Palestinian and UN officials said Gaza needs about 600 aid trucks a day to meet humanitarian requirements – the number that Israel used to allow Gaza before the war.
According to the Israeli figures, the Gaza War began when Hamas killed 1200 people and took 251 hostages in the attack on Southern Israel on 7 October 2023. According to Gaza Health officials, Israel’s attack has killed more than 60,000 Palestinians since then.
According to Israeli officials, 50 hostages are currently staying in Gaza, only 20 are believed to be alive.
