Shivadhar Reddy, VH Appointed as Advisors to State Government

Hyderabad:The state government appointed former DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy, who retired on Thursday, as state security advisor with the status and rank of Chief Secretary. The government also appointed senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao as BC welfare and development advisor with the rank of Cabinet minister.
Chief Secretary A. Ramakrishna Rao issued orders to this effect on Thursday.
Shivadhar Reddy will advise the government on matters related to police, law and order, internal security, crime control, narcotics control and road safety over a period of three years.
The former DGP will be paid a fixed remuneration of ₹ 2.25 lakh per month. He is entitled to rent-free accommodation or HRA 50,000 in lieu of rented accommodation or his own home; TA & DA are at the same level as before retirement and their medical reimbursements are at the same level as AIS officers. He will be given a government vehicle as well as nine personnel, including an officer on special duty. private secretary, personal assistant, chauffeur and four office subordinates.
Hanumantha Rao has been appointed consultant with a salary of 1 lakh per month, HRA of 50,000, transport allowance of Rs 30,000, fuel charge of Rs 15,000 per month, medical reimbursement at par with AIS officers/ministers, five staff including personal secretary, driver and two office subordinates. The state will cover the expenses of the phone and mobile phone at home.
The Congress government has appointed 11 advisors since it took office in December 2023, and this number has increased to 13 with the latest appointments.
The 11 advisors appointed earlier include Vem Narender Reddy (CM advisor, public relations); Muhammad Ali Shabbir, SC, ST, OBC, welfare of minorities; Harkara Venugopal Rao protocol and public relations; Aditya Nath Das irrigation and water resources; K. Keshava Rao public relations; Pocharam Srinivas Reddy agriculture; AP Jithender Reddy (sports); P. Sudarshan Reddy, implementation of all major welfare and development schemes; and NVS Reddy urban transport.
