King Charles and Queen Camilla celebrate triple victory at the races

King Charles and Queen Camilla celebrate their triple victory at the races after three of their horses emerged victorious.
The feat was achieved in two races at York and one at Newbury on Friday, when Charles attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
Portcullis won the Darley EBF ‘Limited’ Novice Stakes at York ridden by William Buick.
Portcullis, the John and Thady Gosden-trained son of Frankel, caused a real stir when racing to victory in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket on his debut and showed off his potential once again in the Darley EBF “Confined” Novice Stakes at Knavesmire.
Sent into the hands of even money favorite William Buick, Portcullis’ task was made easier by the early inclusion of market chief rival Weheedd in the mile event and, although not as comprehensive as the Newmarket broadcast, the future was clearly bright for the royal colt.

Entitlement carried the King and Queen’s colors to victory in the Support Macmillan Charity Race Day at York in the June 13 Handicap.
The 11-4 favorite made a good run on the rail before coming into the lead in the final furlong and held on to beat Thunder Run by a length.
Like Frankel’s other son, Portcullis, he has been consistent throughout his three-year career and has been a highly professional performer, having been gelded over the winter and wearing a tongue tie for the first time.
The other winner in the treble for both Gosdens and the King and Queen was Point Of Law (4-7 favourite) to win the Coolmore City Of Troy EBF Maiden Stakes at Newbury, one point better than his first second at Yarmouth.
