Newspace India Limited signs deal to resell GalaxEye satellite products | Company News

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Ministry of Space, will resell the products of Bengaluru-based private space technology company GalaxEye under an agreement signed between the two parties, officials said on Saturday.
Products include advanced satellite imaging solutions such as SyncFused OptoSAR data products designed to deliver insights into critical sectors including agriculture, disaster management and natural resource management.
Suyash Singh, co-founder and CEO of GalaxEye Space, said, “Collaborating with NSIL allows us to deliver advanced Earth observation capabilities to a wider range of users, while contributing to India’s strategic and developmental priorities.” he said.
According to officials, the deal makes GalaxEye the first private Indian satellite operator to formally collaborate with NSIL under a data vendor partnership agreement.
“Beyond the commercial impact, the vendor agreement is a milestone in India’s space policy, where government agencies and private businesses are working hand in hand to foster innovation, enhance global competitiveness and generate sustainable growth in the space sector,” an official said.
GalaxEye specializes in creating payloads such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), a special type of imaging radar deployed in space where large dish-like radars similar to ground-mounted ones cannot be deployed. SARs use advanced technologies and algorithms to mimic the power and resolution of large ground-based radars.
The company will soon launch ‘Mission Drishti’, a multi-sensory Earth observation satellite, and scale it up to a constellation of 10 satellites by 2030.
