“Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary issued a stern warning to celebrities after Billie Eilish turned her Grammy Awards speech into a political soapbox, telling Fox News that lecturing fans from the stage was a losing business move.

“Half the people in politics you piss off won’t buy your music anymore,” the chairman of O’Leary Ventures told “America Reports” on Tuesday.

“Don’t be stupid about this, but they’re not listening.”

O’Leary’s remarks came after the pop star declared while on stage at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night that “no man is illegal in the stolen land.”

While accepting her Grammy for Song of the Year, the 24-year-old singer used her acceptance speech to criticize border enforcement and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Those remarks prompted the Tongva Tribe of Southern California to respond in a statement to Fox News Digital:

“We appreciate the opportunity to clarify Billie Eilish’s recent comments.”

“As the First Peoples of the greater Los Angeles basin, we understand that her home is located on our ancestral lands. Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property; we value the example in which Public Figures provide visibility into the true history of this country.”

The statement continued: “We have reached out to his team to express our appreciation for his comments. We hope that future discussions can explicitly reference the tribe to ensure the public understands that the greater Los Angeles basin remains Gabrieleno Tongva territory.”

Fox News Digital previously reached out to Eilish’s representatives for comment.

O’Leary claimed Eilish’s agents “lost her mind” following her political conference.

“First lesson for fame 101: As you rise, whether you’re a movie star or a music star, [or] Anyway, shut up and have fun.”

Fox News’ Lindsay Kornick and Alexis McAdams contributed to this report.
