Formula 1 legend Alain Prost reportedly injured during robbery by masked gang in Switzerland
Four-time Formula 1 champion Alain Prost was injured when a group of masked men broke into his home, according to a new report from Switzerland.
swiss exit Blick reported that the racing legend’s home in Nyon, about 25 km (15.5 miles) north of Geneva, was the target of a robbery at around 8:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
Although police have not officially released the names of the victims, they have confirmed that a robbery took place and a family was targeted.

“Several masked people entered the house. Once inside, they threatened the residents of the house and slightly injured one of the family members in the head, under circumstances that are still under investigation,” police said in a statement. he said. BBC Sport.
“The perpetrators then forced another family member to open the safe before escaping,” he added.
Swiss and French police are currently working to find the perpetrators.

Prost is considered one of the greatest drivers in Formula One, having raced for McLaren, Renault, Ferrari and Williams from 1980 to 1993.

The French driver won the World Drivers’ Championship in 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1993, and his four wins put him between Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen in the career championships list. They follow Juan Manuel Fangio with five points, and Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher with seven points.

Prost’s most memorable moments took place at McLaren in the late 1980s, where he fought intense title fights with his then teammate, F1 legend Ayrton Senna.

After retiring from F1, Prost worked in television, managed his own team, known as Prost Grand Prix, and most recently served as a consultant for the Alpine Formula One team, which he leaves in 2022.
