South Australian police seize $320,000 worth of allegedly stolen Lego from home

South Australian police have seized a staggering $320,000 worth of Lego following what authorities allege was a major theft operation involving multiple retail outlets.

Officers raided a home in Dudley Park, north-west of the Adelaide CBD, at around 5pm on Tuesday following an ongoing investigation.

Inside, investigators uncovered a large cache of Legos, which were allegedly stolen from retail stores in the metro area.

Photos released by police show hundreds of Lego boxes stacked on wooden pallets; Some sets are described as popular series such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Star Wars, Marvel and Pokemon.

Police said the shipment required significant resources to transport, including 15 pallets and two mounted police horse floats.

A 34-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man living at the facility were arrested and charged with theft.

They were both released on bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on May 12.
