Domino’s is hunting for a new global CEO – again

Australia’s largest pizza chain was beaten by investors after announceing the global general manager for only eight months, leaving the job at the end of the year and expanding a list of CEOs for the door.

Mark Van Dyck, a former Coca-Cola manager, has stepped into the role of global CEO in November to replace the boss Don Meij, which has long been under pressure on the 22-year term on low-performance stores in Europe and Asia.

The company’s share price fell more than 25 percent, which deepened the news of Van Dyck’s departure and the leadership crisis and instability shaking the pizza chain.

Van Dyck will quit on December 23rd. Jack Cowin, the president of Domino and the chain of Hungry Jack to Australia, is taking steps as a temporary president with the start of global recruitment hunting.

“Mark made a valuable contribution to Domino’s during an important operational reset period. Strategic foundations are now firmly in force, which allows a new CEO to lead a new CEO to the next growth stage.

Van Dyck said Domino is a privilege to lead in a transformation period. As CEO, one of his first moves was to close 200 low -performance stores in Japan, some in Europe and four in Australia.
