Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois: Pair in all-British heavyweight world title contest in Manchester

“I always look for the biggest tests and I would back myself against anyone in this division.
“This is one of the biggest fights to be had in the heavyweight division right now and the best part is it doesn’t need any extra stuff, this fight sells itself.”
Dubois, 28, stopped compatriot Anthony Joshua in September 2024, but his reign as IBF title holder was ended by Usyk at Wembley in July 2025; This was his second defeat against the Ukrainian player.
Promoter Frank Warren said the fight was “another piece of British heavyweight history”.
“This is the most exciting and explosive fight possible for Fabio to defend his WBO world title for the first time and it tells you everything that this is the fight he has been demanding,” he added.
“It is equally remarkable that Daniel is attempting to become a two-time world champion at just 28 years old. This will be his sixth world title challenge and only Oleksandr Usyk has managed to beat him in this run.”
