Children ‘detained’ under Starmer’s flagship one-in one-out migrant swap deal with France

Charity Caseworkers says that children were detained for the removal of Sir Keir Starmer’s flagship to France within the scope of a one -time immigrant swap agreement.

The two 17 -year -old children, who made a dangerous journey to England on small boats, were referred to the Gatwick detainees who supported asylum seekers at the Brook House Migration Center in Gatwick.

Children have been detained in recent days after concerns, but they have been notified of deportation intention, and they had evidence that the Ministry of the Interior had “France or connected with France” before requesting asylum in the United Kingdom.

Within the scope of the agreement, letters were given to immigrants detained under the plan to deport the conservatives under the plan to deport the unsuccessful Rwanda. Approximately 35 people are already detained in Gatwick and will be put on deportation flights to France.

Children are now in the maintenance of the West Sussex District Council, Independent understands. The Council does not comment on individual cases.

Support workers believe that other lonely asylum -seekers are still held to be deported to France, and at least in a case, they had to share rooms with an adult.

All of those detained for the abolition of France are male and are a mixture of nations such as Somalia, Iran, Afghan, Sudan, Eritrea, Iraq, Libya and Syria.

The philanthropy workers expressed concerns about the lack of access to legal advice. The asylum seekers determined to be deported within the scope of the UK-France program are given only seven days to challenge the notification given to them by the home office. This gives them very little time for them to talk to a lawyer and respond to the notification, some asylum seekers already miss the last date.

Within the scope of the agreement between Sir Keir and French President Emmanuel Macron, people traveling to the UK on small boats will be sent back to France in exchange for asylum seekers from France.

In France, immigrants who want to come to England can apply for a new legal route online and the Ministry of the Interior will decide. They should provide copies of identity documents, such as passports that some immigrants do not have. However, no one has been transferred to the plan so far.

Hannah Carbery, Senior defender coordinator in the prisoner’s prisoner’s welfare group philanthropist, said that he was “extremely anxious” about the welfare and screening of the detainees.

He said: “We were already more than one under the age of 18 years under the age of 18, which was detained and supported directly from other people, illegally detained and served with letters of intention.

“What we’ve been talking about is psychologically influenced by the journey they have been folded, and they find it hard to eat and sleep because they are in a prison environment without knowing how long they will last and fear that they can be taken back to France.

“We see that the guarantees who want to prevent people under the age of 18 illegal detention or to torture victims, the journeys of smugglers or the victims of modern slavery and to prevent adequate support.

Steve Steve Smith, CEO of Charity Care4Calais, said, “The filthy treaty has removed refugees from humanity to the extent that they can be exchanged, such as cargo,” he said.

“What we witness is an aggressive form of detention, it is carried out at full speed and denies people’s access to justice.

“There is no doubt that mistakes will be made with such an operation. We know that children are already detained within the scope of this agreement and we are deeply worried that more will be detained.

A home office source said that each case was evaluated separately and the security vulnerabilities of asylum seekers were taken into consideration. He added that the UK-France pilot operates in accordance with all legal obligations.
