Following the violence in Kheroni area of West Karbi Anglong, the Assam government and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council agreed that the Gauhati High Court should take an early decision on the eviction from the grazing lands. The meeting also decided to fence the vacant VGR-PGR land, move government offices, cancel trade licenses and provide assistance to the families of the victims to restore peace.
