Palace gives behind-the-scenes look at Princess Kate’s carol concert | Royal | News

Kensington Palace has released a sneak peek at the Princess of Wales’s Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey tonight. A series of photos on social media accounts showed a beautiful Christmas tree filled with poinsettia flowers, large red ornaments and fake candles.

The palace said: “It’s wonderful to see Westminster Abbey all dressed up and ready ahead of this evening’s Carol Service, complete with beautiful wreaths from the RHS. We look forward to welcoming you to everyone attending this evening!”

Other images were of the beautiful stained glass windows and the Abbey’s pulpit.

Catherine’s divine service is now in its fifth year and has become one of the most important nights of the year for the future Queen.

He and his team spend months planning the event, aiming to bring people together for a heart-warming festive celebration at the start of the Christmas period.

A mix of traditional carols, music and readings, the Together in Christmas service recognizes individuals from across the UK who dedicate or volunteer their time to be with others, lead initiatives that bring people in their communities together or lend a helping hand to those around them.

The event, which will air on ITV1 on Christmas Eve, will be a spectacular, festive candlelit event with special performances from Katie Melua, Fisherman’s Friends and Griff.

Accompanied by speakers pianist Paul Gladstone Reid, readings were given by Hollywood stars Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor, comedian Babatunde Aleshe and rising actor Joe Locke.
