US official says JD Vance made great progress in US-Iran talks

Vance touts agreements on open Strait of Hormuz and IAEA inspections
Vice President J.D. Vance announced significant progress in U.S.-Iran peace talks in Switzerland and highlighted Iran’s agreement to readmit International Atomic Energy Agency nuclear inspectors. Vance also proposed using Iran’s unfrozen assets to purchase U.S. agricultural products and established a deconfliction mechanism to maintain the stability of the ceasefire. ‘Outnumbered’ panellists raise questions about implementation and long-term regional impacts.

FIRST ON FOX: A US official involved in the US-Iran peace talks stated that Vice President JD Vance has made “great progress” in the talks and said that “foreign propaganda” spread the lie that the Qatari prime minister underestimated Vance.
The US official told Fox News Digital that Iranian state media had published reports that Vance had been rejected by the Qatari prime minister and that the Iranian leadership had threatened to leave the negotiating table.
“The vice president and the US delegation left Switzerland today after making great progress and participating in historic talks that lasted late into the weekend,” a US official who was present at the talks told Fox News Digital. he said. “The negotiations set the framework for continuing talks so that the president’s unparalleled efforts can lead to the best deal for the American people.”
“Those who parrot foreign propaganda serve no one except malicious actors seeking to derail negotiations,” the official added.
IRAN’S UNIQUE ‘ALL REGIME’ DELEGATION IS A SIGN OF THE SINGLE TARGET IN THE AGREEMENT SPEECHES IN THE USA: EXPERT

As Vance and White House officials debated a peace deal at the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock on Lake Lucerne, a CBS poll on Sunday showed an overwhelming 78 percent of Americans say the conflict between the United States and Iran should end.
Reports from Iranian state media created confusion about the progress of peace talks in Switzerland; critics claimed that the Qataris had belittled Vance after Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s prime minister and chief negotiator, walked past Vance and warmly greeted Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instead.
“The US delegation had spent hours with the Qataris and there was no need to re-greet someone who had spent hours together,” a US official said. “The decision to make a statement together before the meeting was taken impromptu, so this was not a staged greeting.”

TRUMP AGAIN SAID A DEAL WAS COMING, THEN APPROVED THE LAST MINUTE DEAL WITH IRAN, BUT THE DETAILS ARE STILL SECRET
Inside an interview Today on Al Jazeera, Qatar’s official media outlet, Al Thani denied underestimating Vance and said he had only spent hours with Vance and had not yet greeted Sharif. He accused the media of misrepresenting the encounter. “And they made a big deal out of it,” he said.
Even if there is no final agreement, hopes for a peace agreement are already showing signs of life in the United States. The New York Times reported that oil prices fell on Monday amid expectations that Vance would broker peace during talks in Switzerland.
Vance’s critics have been vocal in the media about how the vice president is handling the talks, echoing sentiment among protesters supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran since the start of hostilities earlier this year. Some critics argue that Vance capitulated to the Iranians and that the Iranians got more from the peace deal than the United States

THE FAR LEFT NETWORK IS TAKING ACTION TO RAISE THE IRANIAN FLAG TO VICTORY OVER AMERICA AND BEGIN SMOKE-FREE WAR ON THE USA
An investigation by Fox News Digital found that behind many of the protests taking place was a network of pro-communist groups funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American-born tech tycoon living in China who supports the Chinese Communist Party and its allies such as the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In April, nonprofits in Singham’s network mobilized to protest President Donald Trump’s “war on crime,” smearing blood on their hands to symbolize the administration’s “genocidal threats” against Iran.
The self-proclaimed pro-Chinese communist Party of Socialism and Liberation communicated with its followers through its propaganda platform “Liberation News” to “keep up the pressure” in fighting the war.

VANCE SAID US-IRAN MEETINGS ENDED WITHOUT A DEAL AFTER 21 HOURS OF NEGOTIATIONS
In 2017, Singham married CodePink co-founder Jodie Evans and began funneling a documented $278 million into a network of groups that fueled anti-American protests in the United States, supported the People’s Republic of China, and now supports the Islamic Republic of Iran, China’s strategic partner and a major source of oil imports.
Despite coordinated propaganda defending Iran, the administration maintained its intention to rid Iran of nuclear capabilities. For more than three months, U.S.-Israeli forces have been fighting Iranian forces, a conflict for which Americans have expressed concern.
Vance’s trip to Switzerland represents his second attempt to end the conflict. In April, he traveled to Islamabad, Pakistan, with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Special Peace Envoy Jared Kushner for peace talks. The talks failed and Vance returned home but continued to play a key role in finalizing the armistice.

His participation in the negotiations has also led to an increase in the number of bettors betting that the vice president will win the presidency in 2028.
In March, Kalshi showed that Vance was defeated in the 2028 presidential race by both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Vance rose to the top spot in the next presidential election for facilitating a peace deal this month.
