4, Including Teenager, Held For 2 Thefts

KAKINADA: Chintalapudi and Dharmajigudem police have four cases in separate theft cases. Dharmajigudem police sub-inspector K. Venkanna detained Boda Pradeep (19) of Chintalapudi village and seized 48 grams of gold ornaments with a total value of ₹ 5.80 lakh and a bicycle. Saiyala Srinivasa Rao and her husband of Mathamgudem village of Lingapalem mandal had gone out for work after locking their house in the morning, the SI said. When they returned in the evening, they found the lock broken and realized that their gold jewelry had been taken.

Chintalapudi circle inspector T. Kranthi Kumar said their investigation led to the arrest of Pradeep, a known criminal with three cases registered against him at Chintalapudi police station. In a separate case, Dharmajigudem police arrested three persons: Dukkipati Kishore alias Yesudas (38) of Ganijarla village, Kotte Ramesh (32) of Chintalapudi and Morla Charles alias Chari alias Durga Prasad (29) of Fathimapuram village after finding them acting under suspicious circumstances. Investigations led to the seizure of gold ornaments and ₹ 35,000 cash from them.
