Student hospitalised after stabbing sends Perth high school into lockdown
“We will identify you and knock on your door.”
Butler said tips and assistance from the Ellenbrook community as the incident unfolded helped police search for the alleged attackers.
“When this news broke and social media made it known, we received a lot of calls about collecting the exhibits, which helped us with our investigation,” he said.
“As a result of the information we received from the community that helped us arrest [the alleged attackers] maybe faster than other events.”
A message was sent to parents stating that the school was quarantined “as a precaution to address an issue on campus.”
“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we are following all established procedures to ensure everyone remains safe,” the memo said.

“Please note: the incident occurred after the final bell and not all students were on site.
The authorities have been informed and they are assisting us.
Parents were advised not to attend the university “as it may impact safety protocols.”
“We will provide further updates as soon as the situation is resolved and it is safe to do so,” parents were told.
“We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.”
The Ministry of Education has been contacted for further comment.
