Starmer calls for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in US after latest Epstein files dump as ‘victims have to be first priority’

Sir Keir Starmer tonight called on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before the US Congress after disturbing photos of the former prince emerged in the latest Epstein files.
The disgraced former Duke of York has a duty to the victims of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as further damaging material emerges from the expose, the Prime Minister has said.
Sir Keir said victims ‘must be a top priority’ and ‘anyone with information should be prepared to share the information in whatever form they are asked’.
He added that a ‘victim-centred’ approach was why Andrew should co-operate fully and provide information ‘in whatever form’ he is asked to do so.
The comments came after footage was released showing Andrew kneeling over an unidentified woman.
The photos form part of more than three million documents released by the US Department of Justice on Friday.
As he arrived in Japan for the final leg of his East Asia visit, Sir Keir was asked whether Andrew should apologize and give evidence to Congress about the Epstein investigation.
The Prime Minister responded: ‘First of all, I always approach this question with Epstein’s victims in mind. Epstein’s victims should be the top priority.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “should be prepared” to testify before the US Congress about his links to Jeffrey Epstein, Sir Keir Starmer has claimed.

Prime Minister says ‘victim-centred’ approach to dealing with Epstein is the reason why Andrew should share information ‘in what form’ when asked
‘Whether there is an apology or not is Andrew’s business.
‘But yes, in terms of giving evidence, I’ve always said that anyone with information should be prepared to share that information, no matter what is asked of them, because you can’t be victim-centred if you’re not prepared to do that.
The government continued to pressure Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify ahead of the US investigation into Jeffrey Epstein; because it was what the victims of the pedophilia financier ‘deserved and needed’.
Communities Minister Steve Reed was asked on Sky News on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips whether the government would honor the former Duke’s extradition request from the US.
He replied: ‘You are now asking me about the details of the legislation which depend on the type of crime committed or not committed. Totally hypothetical.
‘I don’t think it makes sense for me to come here and start talking hypothetically about situations that may or may not exist.
‘But the principle here is very, very clear: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has a clear idea of what happened and he needs to give evidence because the victims deserve and need him and anyone else who witnessed the events to do so.’
Mr Reed added that the Government had ‘no idea’ whether it could force Andrew to join the congressional inquiry.
The calls come as new documents in the files reveal testimony from a new woman who claims both Andrew and Epstein ‘horribly abused’ her.
In an affidavit to the FBI, she claimed that she was kidnapped by the pedophilia financier and then used by him and Andrew.
The unidentified woman said in her statement in July 2020: ‘I was kidnapped to Epstein. She and Andrew dragged me through hell.
‘They tore me apart, they hurt me. He became controlling and sexually abused me.
‘He was friends with Andrew who did the same thing.’
She claimed that she was harassed between 1996 and 2018. Andrew has always denied all allegations against him.
In the last photographs published in the document, which consists of 100 pages of photographs, it is also seen that the former duke touched the woman’s belly.
Another unidentified person’s feet are on a table in the background. They have no subtitles and it is unknown where they were filmed.
Elsewhere in the transcript, screenshots and scans appear to show the former prince exchanging emails with Epstein about a ‘beautiful’ Russian woman and inviting her to Buckingham Palace.
Former US ambassador Lord Mandelson is also involved in the disclosure of the files.
This precedent was dismissed as Washington D.C.’s top ambassador in 2008 after it was revealed that he had continued contact with Epstein after he pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution and soliciting a minor.
Lord Mandelson has issued a firm apology to Epstein’s victims.
The documents showed conversations between Epstein and Lord Mandelson’s husband, Reinaldo Avila da Silva, about paying him to attend the British School of Osteopathy.
One email mentioned a £10,000 transfer from Epstein.
Sir Keir was asked whether the payment, apparently made while Lord Mandelson served as business secretary, fell below the standards of one of the kingdom’s peers.
The images are among more than three million documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday; these include images of a man who appears to be Andrew kneeling next to a woman lying on the ground.

Earlier today it was revealed that Andrew sent photos of his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice to Epstein at Christmas, as the princesses were dragged into the latest scandal for beating their disgraced parents.
The Prime Minister responded: ‘As regards Peter Mandelson, obviously he has been removed from his ambassadorial duties due to additional information that came to light in September last year and I have nothing further to say in relation to Peter Mandelson.’
Earlier today it was revealed that Andrew sent photos of his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice to Epstein over Christmas as the princesses were dragged into the latest scandal for beating their disgraced parents.
The king’s 65-year-old brother included a series of photographs of the sisters in two festive emails sent in 2011 and 2012; Files released last night by the US Department of Justice.
The pictures were sent when Eugenie was 21 and 22 and Beatrice was 23 and 24, after the disgraced financier was convicted in 2008 of procuring children for prostitution.
The intimate family photos were sent two years after the former prince previously claimed he had cut off all contact with the pedophile.
His image as a passionate father figure who proudly flaunts his daughters’ achievements contrasts sharply with the secret life he and his ex-wife Sarah lead behind closed doors, shoulder to shoulder with the rich and powerful.
The emails were released by the US government on Friday as part of a tranche of nearly three million documents related to Epstein and were just some of the embarrassing content for the former Duke and Duchess of York.
Royal expert Jennie Bond today said the latest revelations had left Beatrice and Eugenie in ‘difficult times’ as the sisters struggled to cope with their father’s increasingly humiliating position as an outcast from the royal family.
The first email, sent from Andrew’s official ‘HRH The Duke of York’ email account on 21 December 2011, included a photo of Beatrice and Eugenie posing together in the snow.
Princess Beatrice is wearing a silver Christmas cracker hat and headphones, while Princess Eugenie is wearing a fur hat and a brown scarf.

This is one of four images on the greeting card, which also includes a photo of the snow-covered Royal Lodge and Andrew in a canoe.
The card reads: ‘Wishing you so much joy and happiness for this time and the year ahead’ and is signed by Andrew.
The second card, sent on December 20, 2012, includes photos of the princesses riding bicycles and climbing mountains for charity.
Captioned photos show Andrew walking down The Shard and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, walking across Canada’s Great Slave Lake.
Princess Beatrice is seen posing with one hand on her hip while climbing Mont Blanc in February 2012, while her sister is seen attending a Night Rider event in London on a bike, wearing a high visor and helmet.
Princess Eugenie, alongside 3,000 other participants, raised £9,000 for her chosen charities, the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital and the MCC Foundation, to support the building of a cricket stadium in Rwanda.
The footage shows the innocent sisters being dragged into the latest phase of the scandal that has engulfed their parents for months, as they are stripped of privileges and titles and eventually evicted from their 30-room home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
