Gulf countries continue to be the target of drone and missile attacks more than a month after the war in Iran. On Friday morning, the National Emergency Crisis authority in the UAE issued a warning to locals about a new missile threat. The message said: “Air defense systems are currently responding to a missile threat. Please stay in a safe location and follow official channels for alerts and updates.” The warning also urged people not to “approach, touch or photograph” debris or objects that fell as a result of air defense intervention. The country’s Ministry of Defense also informed local people that the “heard sounds” were the result of “ongoing missile operations.”

This comes as Kuwait Oil Company reported multiple fires following a reported drone attack at its Mina al-Ahmadi refinery. Hours before these attacks, which Iran has not yet claimed, US President Donald Trump issued another threat to Tehran, saying that the new regime “knows what needs to be done.” In his Truth Social message, the American leader warned that civilian infrastructure would be hit if a ceasefire agreement is not reached soon, saying: “Our Army, the largest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the world, has not even begun to destroy what is left in Iran. Bridges next, then Power Plants!”
