PE-VC backed Indian companies see their median IPO timelines shrink to a decade-low in 2025

Venture capital firm Blume Ventures, in its latest report, highlighted that the average age of private equity and venture capital players to go public has reached a decade low of 12 years in 2025, up from 17 years in 2015, a year earlier and 8 years. By comparison, the average age for promoter-backed organizations to go public last year was 18, up from 22 in 2024, the data showed. Some of the PE-VC backed companies that went public during this time frame last year include Groww, Physicswallah, Smartworks Meesho, The Leela Palaces, Ather Energy, We Work India and Indiqube.
