A new ocean freight wave from China begins to come to Los Angeles Port and Long Beach, which is an increase in transport containers aiming to overcome potential tariff increases. President Trump implemented August 12 to accept a trade agreement of the US and China.

Recently, ship monitoring service, ruled by Southern California and Coast Guard Naval Change, has increased in ship arrival: 64 Friday, 68 Saturday and 64 Sunday).

MX SOCAL General Manager Captain J. Kipling (KIP) Louttit, “This is a very solid estimate of the increase in the container ship in the next to two weeks,” he said. Since January 2025, he said that he was the most container ship on his way to the most dense ports of the country (the highest levels were in July and September 2024).

The estimated for the coming weeks covers the average of the average ships from the distant places of Asia from the distant places of Asia, and the transition times between Oakland and San Diego, who are outside Oakland and San Diego, and the transition times between the South and Central America, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.

The increase in containers was expected and the authorities stopped defining it as “fluctuating”. Continuous high levels of high levels – ocean load reservation orders fell after several weeks of increasing orders. Due to the latest softness in container traffic, there is no expectation of blockage in west coastal ports. The trade war led to many US importers to pause orders and give ships to Los Angeles and Long Beach ports before they were full of new wave.

Terminals in Long Beach Port work in about 60 percent of the capacity. Mario Cordero, CEO of Long Beach Port, says CNBC is ready to address the expected increase in ship traffic in the next few weeks and beyond the harbor.

Cordero canceled the canceled sails in Long Beach – many transporters, the load vessel travels planned in the early stages of Trump’s trading war earlier this year – in the first stages of Trump’s trade war – on July and August, just expected until 4, he said.

“We coordinated with our terminal operators, workers’ party and other partners to ensure that they have the things they need because we are looking forward to the increasing cargo flow.

General Manager of Los Angeles Port Gene Seroka, monthly container update in July of the port will see some symptoms of the most intense season orders, he said. However, “Retailers do not tell me that they have increased their inventory levels in order to have extensive elections in products starting from the end of the year and working until the end of the year. So I don’t see that.”

The terminals at the Los Angeles Port today work according to the summit during Covid, less than 30% of the crow on the docks. “We have plenty of space to manage cargoes,” Seroka said in the update.

Now the ships are expected to be full. This increase in containers will support the truck, railways and warehouse companies that receive payment by the load load.

Seroka, CNBC’ye in the last weeks compared to May, the increase in cargo “more people put into work on our docks,” he said.

Authority, the cargo flow is still below normal for June and “July and August in the rest of the year’s volume forecasts that will affect the upcoming trade negotiation deadline,” he added.
