Karnataka’s Shakti scheme bags world record recognition

The Shakti scheme, the flagship attempt of the Karnataka Government, entered into the International Record Book – the world excellence, and obtained another global milestone. More than 500 free tickets have been given since the launch of the plan, which offers a free bus trip for women.

This recognition is approaching the heels of the schema listed in the Golden World Records Book.

The Shakti Plan, which was initiated on June 11, 2023 as the first of the five guarantees of the Congress government, allows women to travel without cost in buses operated by Premium State, including transsexual people and students.

Transportation Minister Ramalinga Redy expressed his gratitude to the officers, employees and union leaders of the four state road transport company for their role in this success. “The program strengthened women not only economically but also socially and professionally, and provided them with more mobility and opportunities.” He said.

Mr. Redy said that the initiative emphasized the wide impact of the successful implementation throughout the state. “It is a proud issue that the program is now another world record for the loan. I congratulate all my female passengers,” he said.
