Brahmotsavam Celebrations at Hare Krishna Golden Temple from Nov 14 to 19

Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Hyderabad is all set to celebrate its 7th Annual Brahmotsavam from November 14-19.
The Golden Temple, inaugurated in 2018, is presided over by the principal Deities of the ancient Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Sri Sri Radha Govinda, parivara devatas-Panchajanyeswara swamy, a unique Jalagarbha Saligrama shila, Sri Japa Anjaneya Swamy and other revered deities of Acharya parampara.
Brahmotsavam is an annual holy festival that commemorates the consecration of the temple and its Deities. This ritual, originally performed by Lord Sri Brahma for the Supreme Lord Sri Narayana, became an enduring tradition in temples around the world and since then, it has become a traditional practice in all temples to celebrate the consecration of temple Deities as Brahmotsavam.
As a continuation of these ancient traditions, we celebrate this blessed event every year. The festivities will begin on November 14 with Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Moolavar and Utsavar Abhishekam. The most auspicious events on November 17 and 19 culminate in the holy Sri Bhu Sametha Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam, Sri Sri Radha Govinda Maha Churnabhishekam and Maha Samprokshana with 108 Kalashas.
The celebrations on all the days would witness their Lordship’s Vishesha alankara adorned with beautiful floral decorations, Navavastras and specially designed jewellery, and exuberant Harinama Sankirtana would be performed for their Lordship’s pleasure.
The celebrations begin on 14 November with the most auspicious ceremony of Abhishekam to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Moolavar and Utsavar in the early morning hours, followed by Vainatheya Prathista and Ankurarpana in the evening. Dwaja Arohanam and other important rituals will be performed on November 15 and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Unjala Seva will be held in the evening. Maha Sudarshana Homa, Hanumad Vahanam and Sri Radha Govinda Jhulan Utsav are scheduled on 16 November.
Chappan Bhogh will be held in the morning on November 17 and the holy Sri Bhu Sametha Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam will be held in the evening. Garuda Vahanam and Jhulan Utsav will be held on 18 November.
The most auspicious festivities of the Brahmotsavam celebrations will take place on November 19, starting with Maha Purnahuthi and Utsavar Abhisekam and Chakra Snanam in the morning, followed by a grand grand 108 Kalasha Kalasha Maha Churnabhisekam to Sri Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Sri Nitai Gauranga and Srila Prabhupada. Utsavar Deities and festivities will end with Maha Samprokshana in the evening.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu, President of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad (M.Tech, IIT, Madras) released the invitation poster and program details of the upcoming Brahmotsavam at a specially organized programme.
Speaking about the ceremony, Prabhuji said, “With six days of divine festivities, we joyfully celebrate the 7th Sri Brahmotsavam at the First Golden Temple of Telangana. The celebrations continue the ancient tradition of honoring the Lord through elaborate rituals, kirtans and devotional services. He also invited everyone to attend and actively participate in these auspicious celebrations and receive the blessings of the Supreme Lord.”
All the celebrations will be presided over by His Excellency Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad. The event will host respected board members, temple heads, congregation members, youth and devotees from across the country. Elaborate arrangements have been planned for the distribution of Prasadam in the temple and for the convenience of visitors.
