In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry reveals his wife Meghan Markle harassed Princess Catherine over a heated argument. He claims Princess Catherine recently gave birth when Meghan upset her. Meghan allegedly told Princess Catherine she needed to have a “baby brain” during a phone call while the Sussex couple were preparing for their wedding in 2018.
Recalling the conversation, Catherine is said to have told Meghan: “We’re not close enough to talk about my hormones.” Harry claims Meghan apologized but William “pointed his finger” at her and said: “That’s very rude, Meghan. That doesn’t happen here.” To which Meghan replied: “Keep your finger out of my face if you don’t mind.”
Meghan Markle and Catherine are reportedly no longer speaking; It seems that’s not always the case for royal sisters-in-law.
Since Harry and Meghan stepped away from their lives as senior royals in 2020, relations between the couple and William and Catherine have suffered.
Once dubbed the “fab four”, Harry and William have become less than close brothers, partly as a result of the publication of Harry’s book Spare. However, before this, relations had already been partially damaged.
Princess Catherine and Meghan had something of an argument ahead of the wedding; Meghan claimed the Princess of Wales was unhappy with the way her bridesmaid dress fit her daughter, Princess Charlotte.
It was reported that this situation caused a huge argument between the two and that the argument was later resolved when the dress was changed.
But while this initial argument may have signaled the beginning of tension between the pair, it seems things weren’t always this way.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who sat down for their engagement engagement at Nottingham Cottage, their home on the grounds of Kensington Palace in 2017, were quick to praise Harry’s brother and how they welcomed his sister-in-law and the duchess into the family.
Harry told the interviewer: “William was very keen to meet her, and so was Catherine. So, you know, as neighbors we’ve done it a few – I mean, many times now, and Catherine certainly…”
Meghan then completed her sentence with a sweet but meaningful three-word statement. He said: “It was great.”
