Two arrested after 30-year-old man stabbed to death on Christmas Day

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 30-year-old man was stabbed to death on Christmas Day.

West Midlands Police said police were called to Burcot Avenue in Wolverhampton, where the man was stabbed, just after 3.30am on Thursday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police added that two men, aged 35 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said a police crime scene was located while officers conducted investigations.

Detective Superintendent Ed Foster said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and are carrying out rapid inquiries, including forensic examination, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

“We ask anyone with information about what happened to contact us.”
