Women robbed, Charger stolen by men on Beale: MPD
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say four women were attacked and robbed on Beale Street early Sunday morning by a group of men who took their Dodge Charger.
Police said they first responded at 4 a.m. to a report of 20-30 people fighting in a park. When they arrived, the crowd dispersed and no victims were found.
But they were soon called to the parking lot at 149 Peabody Place. There, four women said they were approached by a group of men who tried to talk to them.
The victims “rejected the men’s advances, which upset the suspects,” police wrote in a report. It was alleged that the men then started attacking the women and taking their money.

Police said one of the men reached into the victim’s right front pocket and took the keys to a Dodge Charger belonging to another woman in the group.
When the victims returned to the Main Street parking lot, their vehicle was gone.
Police say a camera at the Downtown Crime Center captured three males getting into the Charger and driving away.
