The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) Kalaburagi Regional Unit presented a memorandum to Prime Minister Siddaramaiah during his visit to Kalaburagi for the air research of the flood hits.

CPI (M) demanded the reconstruction of damaged Anganwadi centers and school buildings, the distribution of textbooks, books and school kits free of charge to children, extensive health checks for all displaced people and developed facilities in aid camps that focus on nutritious food and safe drinking water.

He wanted to start a urban employment guarantee plan to support workers who lost their livelihood due to long -term rainfall and floods.

The party criticized that the state government only describes the aid centers as a “minimum approach ve, and that it was largely inadequate in the face of widespread destruction.
