The panic meter is high in Philadelphia.

The Eagles suffered their second straight loss; this time, they beat the Chicago Bears 8-3 at home, losing 24-15.

Each of the Eagles’ drives in the first half ended with loud booing from the crowd. The Birds racked up 83 yards of offense in the first 30 minutes, while former Eagle D’Andre Swift had a lone 88-yard run and a 13-yard catch. The Bears as a whole had 232 yards of offense before halftime.

The beginning of the second half was not much different, as Philly scored three points. On the next play, Jalen Hurts threw an interception. But something clicked in the third, with the Eagles needing just five plays to go 92 yards and an AJ Brown touchdown on the final 33. However, the extra point was missed and Chicago took a 10-9 lead.

The momentum was entirely in the Eagles’ hands as Caleb Williams threw an interception at the line of scrimmage, but the Bears responded by forcing and recovering a fumble on hard hit. The Bears continued to push the ball down the Eagles’ throat, and this time rookie Kyle Monangai in the seventh round raced all over the field and found the end zone to put Chicago up 17-9.

It was another third down for the Eagles and the Bears continued to be unstoppable. The icing on the cake was a 28-yard touchdown pass to Cole Kmet. The Eagles got another touchdown pass from Brown, but trailing by nine they went for two and fumbled, leaving the game a two-possession game and nearly game over.

This was the first time since 1985 that the Bears had two runs of 100-plus yards in the same game. In all, they had 281 rushing yards to the Eagles’ 87 and twice as many first downs (28-14).
