Trump Warns Iran: ‘We’ll Knock Them Down’ If Missile Or Nuclear Programmes Are Rebuild | World News

Iranian Nuclear Program: US President Donald Trump warned Iran on Monday that the US would not hesitate to launch another military strike if Tehran tries to rebuild its ballistic missile or nuclear programs.

Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he emphasized that Washington was closely monitoring Iran’s activities.

“I heard that Iran is trying to become powerful again, and if they are, we will have to destroy them. We will destroy them. We will destroy them. We will turn them into hell,” he told reporters.

Asked whether the United States would support Israel in targeting Iran’s missile program, Trump confirmed that Washington would take immediate action if Iran moved to redevelop its nuclear capabilities.

He also called on Tehran to consider negotiations with the United States. “If they keep missiles, yes. Nuclear? One: Yes, absolutely. The other is: We’ll do it now. That’s smarter. They could have made a deal last time before we did a big attack on them,” he added.

Earlier this year, the US launched airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities; It was an operation that Trump has repeatedly praised as a major success, claiming that it “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear program.

But Netanyahu recently warned that Iran was once again expanding its ballistic missile program and raised the urgency for tougher action in talks with Trump.

When pressed about the possibility of supporting regime change in Iran, Trump declined to give a direct answer but highlighted the country’s internal problems.

“I’m not going to talk about the overthrow of the regime. There are so many problems there. They have massive inflation. Their economy is not good, the people are not happy,” he continued. “Whenever they riot, whenever someone forms a group, big or small, they start shooting people. They kill people. I’ve been watching this for years, there’s a lot of discontent.”

The meeting at Mar-a-Lago also served as a platform for Trump and Netanyahu to discuss the second phase of the Gaza peace plan; The Iranian threat came to the fore in regional security talks.
