Five children injured after tree falls in public park

After a tree fell in a tree park, five children were injured and two children were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Officers were invited to reports of a falling tree in Chalkwell Park. Southend said Essex police at 15:00 on Saturday.

The force, “Chalkwell Park is staying at a serious scene. Ambulance and fire brigade colleagues, as well as civil servants respond,” he said.

“Two children were transferred to Southend University Hospital by Road. Three children were then moved to the same hospital with minor injuries.”
