Princess Anne praised by fans for reaction during Andrew scandal | Royal | News

Princess Anne has been called a “class act” for her modest reaction after receiving a surprise standing ovation during her final appearance at the weekend. Just as her disgraced brother Andrew Mountbatten Windsor scandal broke in England, the Princess Royal traveled to Milan, Italy, to attend the Six Nations match between Scotland and Italy on Saturday.

Anne, who is the boss of the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) and a huge fan of the sport, was spotted on the big screen in the first match of the tournament in the country. Fans watching the match suddenly stood up and cheered and applauded the royal family, who were stunned by their reaction.

Thames Valley Police has confirmed it is considering suggestions that Anne’s brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor shared secret reports about his role as Britain’s trade envoy with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.
