Man arrested after woman found dead at Sydney home and another man critically injured from stab wounds | New South Wales

A man has been arrested and another man was found with stab wounds after a woman was found dead at a house in Sydney’s northwest.

Police said emergency services were called to the home in Quakers Hill just before 5am on Sunday and responded to reports of a disturbance.

About half an hour after emergency services responded, police arrested a 47-year-old man who went to Blacktown police station.

“Officers from Riverstone police area command attended the incident and found a man on the pavement with stab wounds,” police said in a statement.

“A woman was found dead in the house. Her identity has not yet been officially determined.”

Police said the injured man was in a critical condition and was treated by paramedics at the alleged scene before being taken to Liverpool hospital.

“A crime scene was established and detectives began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said.

Police investigation continues.
