Mangaluru Police Arrest Man for OLX Car Sale Scam

Barbecue: Mangaluru City Cen (Cyber, Economic and Narcotics) Crime Police Station, a 29 -year -old man from Uttara Kannada, arrested for allegedly cheating on people under the guise of selling cars in Olx application.

The defendant, Ravichandra Manjunath Revankar, who lives in Banavasi, was arrested in Hosapete and was brought to the barbecue to question. According to the police, Olx claimed to sell cars but claimed that he could not deliver the vehicle 2.5 lakh received 2.5 lakh. On June 28, the CT Law and a lawsuit were registered at the barbecue City Cen station under the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The investigations revealed that the defendants operate a well -organized scam using 21 bank accounts and eight SIM cards. More than 80 cyber crime complaints are linked to the phone numbers used by him.

Police said that Ravichandra has been carrying out the deception for the last three years, that he has repeatedly published false ads about Olx, that he has already collected payment and disappeared without delivering any vehicle. He often changed the SIM cards and threw the phones to stay away from the radar.

It was produced on Saturday before the court. Cen police launched more investigations to monitor other victims and discover possible connections to a wider cyber fraud network.
