‘I do not want to reconcile with my family’

“I don’t want to reconcile with my parents,” Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham said in a statement addressing his strained relationship with his parents.

Peltz-Beckham, the eldest child of Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham, accused his parents of trying to “endlessly ruin” his relationship before and after his wedding to Nicola Peltz-Beckham.

“No matter how hard we try to get together, my family constantly disrespects my wife,” he wrote on Instagram on Monday.

Speculation has been circulating for months about the state of Brooklyn’s relationship with his family. The BBC has reached out to Sir David and Lady Beckham’s representatives for comment.

The 26-year-old said he had been subjected to “numerous attacks by his parents, both privately and publicly, which were sent to the press at their behest”.

Fashion designer blames her mother for derailing her 2022 wedding; this included canceling the making of Nicola’s dress “at the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear her own design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”

There were reports that 31-year-old Nicola refused to wear one of Lady Beckham’s designs.

He later told the Times that he realized he would not be able to finish Lady Victoria’s workshop on time and denied allegations of disagreement.
