While Indian cricketers gave festive cheer for Christmas 2025 as Virat Kohli wished his fans, Shikhar Dhawan shared a selfie with his girlfriend, while Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues delighted their online fans by turning into Santa Claus during the celebrations.

Sports stars from different disciplines embraced the Christmas spirit, shared their joy in their own unique ways, and sent greetings to the fans on this holiday. Christmas is celebrated all over the world on December 25 to honor the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity.

Apart from their sporting activities, these stars also took a moment to extend warm wishes to their fans and give a glimpse of their Christmas celebrations. From Virat Kohli to Shikhar Dhawan, Jemimah Rodrigues and Cristiano Ronaldo, here’s how these top athletes celebrated Christmas.

Veteran India player Virat Kohli on Thursday conveyed his Christmas wishes on the occasion of this important festival through a special Instagram story. His message came just a day after he participated in the Delhi Vijay Hazare Trophy, which started on Wednesday.

Virat’s post on Instagram read, “May this season fill your home with warmth, your heart with joy, and your life with year-round happiness. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

Shikhar Dhawan celebrated Christmas with his girlfriend Sophie Shine. The former India cricketer and his partner wore matching Christmas outfits and posed next to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with lights and glittering baubles.

Cristiano Ronaldo valued spending quality time with family at Christmas. The Portuguese star and Al-Nassr shared a video capturing the Christmas festivities at home. In the short 10-second clip, Ronaldo was seen carrying one of his children on his shoulder, surrounded by his other four children and his partner Georgina Rodrigues.

Jemimah Rodrigues, one of the prominent players of the Indian women’s cricket team, celebrated Christmas with her teammates. Currently, India are contesting the five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and are leading 2-0 heading into the 3rd T20I in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rodrigues shared photos of her Christmas celebrations with teammates Smriti Mandhana and Arundhati Reddy and captioned them: “Home away from home.”


The Women in Blue will take to the field on Friday and the third T20I match is scheduled to be held at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. This series represents the Indian team’s first challenge after their historic and unforgettable Women’s World Cup victory.
